New parking plan (since 1 May 2022)

On 1 May 2022, a new parking plan came into force on the territory of the City of Brussels.

Permit applications and delays

Due to the many requests for parking cards in recent days (resident cards and professional cards), the City services are experiencing a delay. Your card request will be processed as soon as possible. The parking attendants and the services that check on the terrain are aware of this delay, which is why there is a tolerance period. This means that you will not receive any fines or fees while your parking permit application is being processed.

Nothing will change for the inhabitants of the City of Brussels who already have a resident card or the visitors who have a professional card. Residents still pay 10 euros annually for a first card. With this resident card you do not have to pay at a parking meter or place a parking disc in the sector where you live.

Since 1 May 2022, you pay 110 euros instead of 50 euros for a second resident card.

The price of the professional cards does not change. They cost between 200 and 800 euros, depending on how many permits have been requested. A professional card costs 75 euros for the officers of the Brussels-Capital-Ixelles police zone, the teaching staff and the crèche staff.

Since 2 May 2022, a family can request 10 free visitor cards for that year for everyone who comes to visit (family, handyman or contractor,...). With such a visitor card you can park for 4h30. For the remaining cards, the price remains 2.5 euros per card.

You can order your visitor cards here:

Parking permits can be valid for two years on request.

The cars of people with disabilities can park for free and without limits in gray, green and blue zones.

Since 1 May 2022, the price of a bicycle box subscription went from 60 euros to 10 euros per year. That is the price of a resident card for a first car. Would you like a place in a bicycle box? Then go to Cycloparking.

Anyone who already has a bicycle box subscription on the territory of the City of Brussels does not have to do anything: your invoice will be adjusted.
