attention!

MyBXL maintenance and telephone accessibility

Due to maintenance works, the citizen portal External site MyBXL may be interrupted on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 November. Due to the move of the services of the City of Brussels to the new Brucity Administrative Centre (on 12 December 2022), the waiting time for a telephone answer may be temporarily longer.

Organic vegetable gardens in the North Quarter

For the past two years, local residents and associations of the North Quarter and pupils of the Klavertje 4 primary school have been installing and maintaining collective, educational and professional vegetable gardens on the esplanade of the 'Foyer Laekenois' residential blocks at the Chaussée d'Anvers. Local associations also organise vegetable garden workshops on site.

Part of the fruit and vegetable harvest is destined for the Community Centre and the Maximilian Park Farm. Another part goes to the kitchens of the training restaurants for socio-professional insertion.

Vegetable garden workshops

This innovative project not only promotes the social and circular economy but also healthy and sustainable food. Local associations organise vegetable garden workshops on site as well.

Helifarm, an initiative of the External site 'Atelier Groot Eiland' association and the External site Maximilian Park Farm, is supported in this by the Citroën-Vergote Urban renewal contract.
