Would you like to make your neighbourhood greener and more colourful? Take part in the Brussels in Flowers Competition and help beautify the city with your floral creations visible from the street.

The Brussels in Flowers Competition is an annual initiative of the City of Brussels inviting residents, businesses and institutions to green the urban space.

Its aim is to make neighbourhoods more pleasant to live in, promote biodiversity and strengthen the connection between residents.

Participants can register in one of the following 6 categories, depending on the type of arrangement:

Floral decoration of a street-facing façade and/or a café or restaurant terrace
Floral decoration of a balcony
Floral decoration of a small front garden
Floral decoration of the façade of a public housing unit
Floral decoration of a flowering vegetable garden
Floral decoration on the façade of administrative buildings, associations, banks, insurance companies, department stores, hotels,...

Each entry will be evaluated by a jury.

Participants will then be invited to the official award ceremony, where the results will be announced.

Be over 18 years old
Be a resident, institution or business located within the territory of the City of Brussels
Display the official 'Brussels in Flowers' visual in your window throughout the competition
Have a floral decoration visible from the street
Maintain the floral decoration until at least 30 September 2026

1. Registration from 1 May to 1 July 2026

Complete the form with the required information and upload the necessary documents

Once your registration has been submitted, you will receive a confirmation e-mail acknowledging your participation.

2. Jury visit

The jury will visit the entries between July and September.

3. Award ceremony

All participants will be officially invited to the award ceremony. This ceremony will be held at the Gothic Hall of the City Hall (Grand-Place - 1000 Brussels) on 16 October 2026.
