​Coronavirus measures

The City of Brussels has taken several decisions in order to best respect the measures of the federal government in the fight against the coronavirus (Covid-19). Please note: at the Administrative Centre & liaison offices, all citizens are asked to come alone, maximum 15 minutes before the appointment time, wear a face mask (obligatory) and disinfect their hands.

 

Brussels in flowers

Each summer, the City of Brussels organizes 'Brussels in flowers'. This is a competition to incite private individuals to decorate their facade or small garden in front of the house with flowers. The purpose is to embellish the City. Registrations for the 2021 edition are possible till 1 July 2021.

Participants should register and choose their category before the start. For the winners, there are cash prizes to be won.

  • flowers on the facade of cafes or restaurants
  • flowers on the facade
  • flowers on the facade of a public housing
  • flowers in small gardens visible from the street
  • floral decoration of a vegetable garden (visible from the street)
  • the biodiversity decoration
  • shopkeepers, administrations, banks,...
