Certificate of household composition

The household composition certificate is an administrative document which attests to the household composition of a person.

The certificate indicates all the persons domiciled at the same address and who are part of a household, as well as any family relationship with the reference person of the household.

Conditions

Living on the territory of the City of Brussels.

How to apply?

If you do not have an electronic ID card or residence card:

  • At the counter

Required documents

  • ID card or residence card

Rate

  • Free
  • 20 euros for the legalization if the document is to be used abroad (outside the European Union)

Waiting period

If the certificate is to be used in Belgium: immediately.

If the certificate is to be used abroad (outside the member states of the European Union): 5 working days. In this case, the City is responsible for requesting its legalization from the Federal Public Service Foreign Affairs.
