'Made in Querelle' project call - 2nd edition

'Made in Querelle' project call - 2nd edition

The City of Brussels launches the 2nd edition of the 'Made in Querelle' call for citizen initiatives, as part of the Querelle Housing Block Contract.

What is it?

'Made in Querelle' is an annual call for proposals that supports local initiatives with a positive impact on quality of life, conviviality and social cohesion in the Querelle neighbourhood. Selected projects are eligible for a grant of between 500 and 5,000 euros.

What kind of projects?

Creating a book box, organising a workshop, a sports tournament, a cultural event, an intergenerational activity or a social gathering... All ideas are welcome as long as they promote conviviality, resident participation and neighbourhood life.

As in the first edition, projects must be in line with the priorities set out in the CACI Querelle's basic file. Possible themes include, for example:

  • activation of public space
  • social cohesion
  • greening and cleanliness
  • youth involvement
  • active modes of transport
  • well-being
  • inclusiveness and gender equality
  • combating isolation
  • culture
  • environment
  • circular economy
  • sustainable food
  • ...

Who can participate?

The call is open to:

  • Any resident or group of residents within the Querelle area
  • Associations, schools or nurseries active in the neighbourhood
  • People or organisations from outside the neighbourhood, provided that residents of the neighbourhood support the project and are actively involved in it

Project leaders must be at least 18 years old. Up to 3 applications per person or organisation are accepted.
