Coronavirus measures

The City of Brussels has taken several decisions in order to best respect the measures of the federal government in the fight against the coronavirus (Covid-19). More info: coronavirus measures by the City of Brussels.

 

Paid parking on the public road

Coronavirus measures: the check on regulated street parking will start again on 18 May 2020. This measure, taken in consultation with the Brussels Capital Region, starts at phase 2 of the phasing out of the lockdown measures. It applies both to the territory of the City of Brussels and to the 18 other municipalities of the Brussels Capital Region.

Contactless payments are possible via various applications (apps) on the regional BiPass platform. These apps can be downloaded on a smartphone:

Green zone

The parking time in a green zone is not limited in time.

The fee payable in the green zone is:

  • 0.50 euros for the first half hour
  • 0.50 euros for the second half hour
  • 2 euros for the second hour
  • 1.50 euros for every additional hour

Orange zone

The maximum parking time in an orange zone is 2 hours.

The fee payable in the orange zone is:

  • 0.50 euros for the first half hour
  • 0.50 euros for the second half hour
  • 2 euros for the second hour
