A cool colleague! Do you know Rizlen?
The City has a policy of diversity, non-discrimination and equal opportunities and is primarily looking for talent. Read the testimony of one of the City's workers here.
Rizlen: My name is Rizlen and my story at the City began with a 'discovery internship'.
During the interview, I was given a choice of different services for my internship. I immediately said 'Marriage Service'. When they asked me why, I replied, "It has always been my dream to work in the Marriage Service," and 'why' they asked me again? "Because my husband and I felt so welcome on my wedding day and everyone was so nice that I wanted to work there."
"Dare!", because we have many more resources than we think.
From the first day, I felt right at home, everyone immediately put me at ease. To me, we really are a family. I was very well taken care of and trained, and after 2 weeks I was autonomous. Apart from the phone, I did not adjust anything in my duties.
The only 'physical' contact I have with the public is during weddings at the City Hall, and that goes very well. I would say to people with disabilities, "Dare!", because we have many more resources than we think.
