The National Crisis Centre has launched a campaign to boost the resilience of people. How? By encouraging everyone to learn the right responses before, during and after an emergency.
By taking a few steps in advance, you can react more quickly and effectively in an emergency. You can do this on your own, but also together with your family, neighbours and friends.
Preparing for an emergency
You can better prepare yourself with a few simple steps:
- Find out about the risks in your neighbourhood.
- Know where you can find reliable, accurate information.
- Draw up an emergency plan for your family or household.
- Put together an External siteemergency kit at home, in the car and at work.
- Know what to do when taking shelter or evacuating.
