The Fabrics of the Nativity (Grand-Place)

On the Grand-Place, the traditional Nativity scene takes on new life with The Fabrics of the Nativity.
Imagined by Victoria-Maria, a Brussels-based interior architect known for her refined and bold style, this poetic installation reinterprets the Christmas tradition through light, texture and softness.
It is housed in a translucent glasshouse measuring 6.5 m long, 3.5 m wide and 4 m high. Inspired by the Royal Greenhouses of Laeken, the structure glows like a gentle lantern.
At its centre, life-sized rag dolls are dressed in colourful, folkloric fabrics: linens, satins and velvets from leftover stock and recycled materials.
They form a handcrafted Nativity scene celebrating Belgian textile craftsmanship and the beauty of reuse.
Morphosis (City Hall courtyard)

In the courtyard of the City Hall, Morphosis, a monumental installation by day and night, explores transformation and metamorphosis.
Designed for the public space, Morphosis uses a giant zoetrope: a circular device that creates the illusion of motion through a sequence of animated images.
This hybrid artwork offers a sensory and immersive experience, where the personal meets the collective and contemporary art engages with the transformations shaping our society.

Place de la Monnaie
This year, the Place de la Monnaie transforms into an even more magical spot. A variety of chalets await you, offering tasty dishes, gift ideas and fun activities for all ages.
The spot includes a monumental upcycled structure, featuring 9 two-metre Christmas trees made entirely from recycled materials. Each tree represents a creative workshop, showcasing artistic craftsmanship and the value of re-use.
Eight participatory workshops are organised to decorate the trees, with 4 open to the general public and 4 reserved for schools. A glass container reproduces a real La Monnaie workshop, allowing visitors to discover the creative process and the world of the theatre.
Place Poelaert

At the foot of the Giant Wheel, the Place Poelaert joins the Winter Wonders Christmas market for the very first time.
It hosts a small Christmas village filled with festive spirit, inviting visitors to take a gourmet break in a warm and welcoming setting, surrounded by sweet treats, comforting drinks and a stunning view over Brussels.
Designed as a place of sharing and solidarity, the site also features a toy collection area for children who are ill or disadvantaged, with donations distributed by local Brussels charities.
