Coronavirus measures

The City of Brussels has taken several decisions in order to best respect the measures of the federal government in the fight against the coronavirus (Covid-19). More info: coronavirus measures by the City of Brussels. Please note: at the Administrative Centre & liaison offices, all citizens are asked to come alone, maximum 15 minutes before the appointment time, wear a face mask (obligatory) and disinfect their hands.

Shopping and shops

The City of Brussels consists of a number of quarters, each with a particular identity and appearance: chain stores at the Reu Neuve, design shops at the Dansaert quarter, second-hand shops in the Marolles,...

Coronavirus measures: the shops are open. Mandatory closure at 8 pm, except for restaurant take-away till 10 pm. A face mask is required in shops.

Shopping on Sundays

The shops in the centre of Brussels (Pentagon) may also be open on Sundays. Many stores already took this opportunity: the major chain stores at the Reu Neuve and the boutiques of the Marolles, the Sablon and the Grand-Place. In the upper city and the Saint-Jacques and Dansaert quarters, more and more stores are participating.
