A sculpted tree watches over the graves of the Laeken Cemetery. At the initiative of the City of Brussels, artist Anton Klijnsmit portrayed the cycle of life and death on the dead tree.

Since 1 September 2017, a new market is installed at the Rue de Wand in Laeken, each Friday from 2 pm to 7 pm. On Friday 8 September, besides the offer of regular sellers, there is also a 'Herbes de Bruxelles' stand with a wide range of herbs, medicinal plants and edible flowers.

The Property Management Agency of the City of Brussels inaugurated 31 new homes at the Tour & Taxis site: the Gloria Residence at the Rue Picard.
