Within the dynamics of good governance and transparency started by the City of Brussels, the GIAL Board of Directors decided to put the audit that was presented on 23 January 2018 online. This document is therefore freely accessible and can be downloaded on this website.
After the attacks of 22 March 2016, the Archives of the City of Brussels collected the messages that were deposited at the Bourse and at the Maalbeek metro station. The service has also taken photographs of the messages that were written at the Bourse with chalk on the walls or on the ground. All these messages are now online on the new website of the Archives.
Statbel, the Belgian Statistics Office, is conducting a research into income and living conditions at a number of households in the City of Brussels. The research is held from March to September 2018. The households concerned are informed by letter that a pollster will come to their house.
In 2018, the Grand-Place will be on the World Heritage List for 20 years. To celebrate this anniversary, the City of Brussels organizes a whole series of events. The first in line is the placement of 7 logos around the Grand-Place that refer to the World Heritage status. The placement of the bronze plates started on Monday 19 March and should take another two weeks.
