Nina Derwael wins National Sports Merit Award 2018

Gymnast Nina Derwael has won the Belgian National Sports Merit Award 2018. The award, created and awarded by the City of Brussels, is a prize for Belgian athletes or sports teams. In 2018, Derwael became both European and world champion on the uneven bars.

Newspaper 'Faux Soir' celebrates 75th anniversary

The National Museum of Resistance and the Archives of the City of Brussels are working together to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the publication of a false newspaper of Le Soir. This newspaper was published by the Independence Front in Brussels on 9 November 1943.

On Tuesday 9 October 2018, the City of Brussels inaugurated the first public charging point for electric cars on public roads. The charging point is located at the foot of the Atomium in Laeken.
